Etymology: Greek palinōidikos, from palin + -ōid- (from aeidein) + -ikos -ic — more at ode
: of or relating to a form of symmetrical construction found in some ancient odes in which the fourth in a group of four strophes repeats the structure of the first and the third that of the second
